Senior Programming

The Gillam Grant Community Center offers seniors an array of different opportunities to socialize, exercise and bond with other people in the community. Our regularly offered programs include:

  • Social Supper
    Enjoy a meal out with friends! Gillam-Grant hosts evening meals approximately once a month featuring entertainment after each meal. Come and enjoy an evening out with us.
  • AARP Safe Driving Course
    Primary Drivers aged 50 and older can receive 10% reduction off their insurance premium (liability and collision) and may reduce up to 4 points on their driving record.
  • Lunch Club
    Once a month go to a restaurant to enjoy lunch and socialize. We provide the transportation with lunch on your own.

Day Trips

Various day trips are offered to many interesting destinations. Bring your friends or come along and meet new people on these great outings. Examples of recent outings include Del Largo Casino, Cartwright’s Maple, Rev Theater (Broadway Shows), etc. We offer regular trips throughout the year, please check out our newsletter for our latest offering.

Extended Travel Trips

Several times per year the Gillam Grant sponsors multi-day trips to exciting locations across the country. Trips typically last around one week, and include a coach bus, hotel accommodations, tours/entertainment, most meals, and more!

Program Registration Policy

Register online or by phone (494-1621) or in-person at Gillam-Grant Community Center. Registration and payment with GGCC is required one week prior to the program unless otherwise indicated. GGCC reserves the right to cancel programs for any reason including lack of participation. Decisions to cancel classes due to low enrollment are made one week prior to the start date. If a class within a given program is canceled, Gillam-Grant will make every effort to reschedule the class on a similar day, at a similar time. If this is not possible, the class may need to be made up on a different day and/or time. Gillam-Grant adheres to a no-refund policy unless otherwise indicated specific to a program. Gillam-Grant reserves the right to charge a $40 returned check fee.
