What is the Gillam-Grant Pre-School+ Program?
The 5-day a week program, appropriate for children 4 or 5 years old (MUST BE BY 12/1/16), is a kindergarten program held Monday through Friday beginning in September and running through June. The program offers the option of a morning session, afternoon session, or both. The children will develop listening, fine motor, visual and social skills through fun experiences. They will also have significant interaction with letters, numbers and sight words to get them ready for kindergarten. Physical activity and music are integrated into the program. The program works in conjunction with the Byron-Bergen School District Universal Pre-K program.
Our classroom location for 2016-17 school year will be at the Gillam Grant.
What is Gillam-Grant Pre-School+ Morning and After School Care?
This is a certified, supervised program for children 4 or 5 years old that takes place before or after the PreSchool+ Program. The program is coordinated to offer children a safe and fun environment before and/or after they begin school. Activities include arts & crafts, games, playtime, computer use, outdoor activity, and much, much more!
The program is available based on the school calendar. It runs weekdays from 6:45am to 8:30am and 3:30pm to 6:00pm. PreSchool+ will be open on half-days and several days off from school based on need and at an additional fee. A sign-up sheet will be available for these days, space is limited. You will be notified in advance if attendance is not great enough to be open.
Registration is required for all children to attend. Payments for the PreSchool+ and PreSchool+ Before and After Program are made on a monthly basis. Fees are based on a per month basis and are not pro-rated based on days in the month or child’s attendance. PreSchool+ fees are based on a 10-month payment program.
